Hello!!! I am really excited to meet all of you and get to know you all. I am also uber excited to go to Africa. I have no idea what to write or say so I'll just start with the basics. My name is Megan Stoneman. I grew up and am still in Greeley, CO. It started out as a little cow town, but has started to grow. I grew up in a Christian home where church was really important. I am the youngest out of four kids. I have an amazing older sister (23), a older brother who has dread locks (22), and another brainiac brother who is amazing at math (20). I will be turning 18 in 5 days. This will be my first out of country mission trip. Last year, though, I went to Seattle with my youth group and the experiance was very growing and challenging. I learned there the true meaning of church family.
In the picture going left to right there is Travis, me, Luke, Dad, Mom, and Jessie. Luke's the one with the dreads.
I accepted Christ when I was really little, but I didn't really know what it meant. It was my free ticket out of Hell card. This reality hit me when I was 13ish. A girl at our church got brain cancer and died. At that moment, I realized that we are not promised tomorrow. My faith started to grow, its a slow process. This last fall, my faith and foundations have really grown and become more solid due to a doctrine study that I did in AWANA. Our leaders really challenged me to know why I believe what I believe, and to prove it using the Bible. It was amazing and really thought provoking. This picture is my wonderful AWANA family that has always been there for me, that challenges me, and holds me accoutable. I love them lots.

I love to knit. I'm not very good but I really enjoy it, mostly because I like to feel the yarn and you get to watch something be created from a tangled mass of string. FUN. Right now I'm working on a fluffy blue and green blanket for a friend. I really hope I can bring some needles and yarn on the plane.
I play the bassoon. Its a beautiful low voice that shakes you way down deep. By the way, the bassoon is in no way related to an oboe, please don't compair.
I love books. My favorite book would have to be the Seer and the Sword. I don't remember who the auther is. What I love best about reading is getting lost in the story and watching it unfold as you go.
Dancing is one of my favorite things to do. I have done classical ballet since I was 3 1/2 and I love just pouring out into it. I also like to ballroom dance. I dance with old people. This was last years dance recital.
