Hey Swazi Fam! I am so excited to get to meet all of you crazy, awesome people! God is going to do amazing things! Woohoo! So pumped!

My name is Hannah, but I have many nicknames including: Jay, AJ, and “you”. I am 17 and a junior at Mahtomedi High. I am planning on attending Bethel University for nursing when I graduate.

I am a pretty relaxed person, and I love having fun. I am a very hard worker and I love working in my uncle’s fields and at his farm. I thoroughly enjoy playing jokes on people and making people laugh.

A fact about me, that I know all of you are going to take full advantage of, is that I am from Minnesota and I speak like a Minnesotan. =) Yes, I do say my “a”s, “o”s, and “ya, you betcha.” I am a full-blooded Minnesotan and proud of it! I know some of our ways seem strange to you, but we really do sit for hours, look through a hole in the ice, and call it a sport. (That sport is called “ice fishing”) This spring my family and I had a picnic outside at 30 degrees and it was totally normal! I know, weird!

In my family I have one half-brother, Adam (30), who is married and has 5 kids, then me(17), then MaggieLynn(16), then Abigail(15), then Lucas(13)and Levi(13), and then lastly Lydia(11). We’re a busy household and are always on the move. All of us kids are avid sport-aholics. Usually, each of us is in a sport at any given time.
My life revolves around sports and more specifically around football (pee-wee through professional) and lacrosse. I played co-ed football in middle school and loved it! I now focus on lacrosse year-round. I play goalie and love every bit of pain that comes with it!

I live on a hobby farm and with all the animals that come with it! I love every animal and they are each so unique! We have cats, dogs, goats, horses, siblings, etc. Haha, just kidding, my siblings are pretty awesome. I am an avid horse rider and have had many fun, and near-death experiences. (Yes, the ER doctors know me by name…)

God is totally amazing and I’m so much looking forward to Him blowing our socks off! He has been so good to me, and blessed me in so many ways! Once we all meet each other, we are going to have some awesome God pow-wows! I have seen Him work miracles and heal people RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES!! Yes, He is so powerful and so loving! I probably started taking my faith and looking at how I spend my days more seriously was when He took my cousin, pretty much my best friend in the world, home. Those were trying times, but His mercy and grace have always come through! It also taught me to trust Him, and to know that He never leaves…no matter what!
I am so looking forward to meeting all of you! I’ll be praying for each of you, for fundraising, spiritual growth, safety, and anticipation for the trip!
