Jacob Jones

Hello everyone! My name is Jacob Jones and I am very excited to go to Swaziland with all of you!! This will actually be my  first mission trip.  I am 17 years old and I am a Junior in High School. I accepted God into my heart freshman year but it wasn't really till this year that I really started pursuing a deeper relationship with Him. I have always wanted to go to Africa, It's a place that really needs compassion and hope and I can't wait to go with all of you. God plays a huge part in my life I go to a christian school and this year (Junior) is my first year there after being public school till now. It really changed and broke my heart and I have become a completely new person and I love it. I love God and sharing him with people.

I live in Denver, Colorado and I love it here. I was born in Washington state and I visit there a lot and I love the ocean. I love snowboarding it is definitely my favorite thing to do here. I like all sports, I played basketball for my school this year and I had an amazing time playing. Theres a lot to do here in Colorado, I love hiking, frisbee, and swimming. My favorite sports are by far football and basketball. I like a good run outside. I love watching movies, I watch a lot with my friends. I like playing video games too. (Snowboarding, I have the brown jacket on and the other is my older brother)

Music is a huge part of my life and I listen to my ipod a lot. I don't really listen to country or classical not my thing. I am into rap but there is also a lot of rap I am not in to. Knaan is really good. Bob Marley is awesome, I really like his music. I have been starting to get into english folk, like Mumford and Sons. I also love music from movies like Lord of the Rings, the instrumentals are amazing and I love listening to it while doing homework or focusing. I have started to become partial to Enya she gives that same feel. Kid Cudi has been my favorite lately. I also like Brett Dennen. I love christian music. Tenth Avenue North is my favorite in that catagory, I like David Crowder band, The Afters, Toby Mac, Desperation Band; the list goes on and on I can talk about music forever so I''ll just stop. (That is my girlfriend Christina and I on Christmas Eve in our penguin footy pajamas:)

I'll give you guys some random facts. I really love food and working out. I have 3 older brothers (18, 28, 30 years old) The older ones are only half brothers. I have a younger sister shes 15. I am an artist I love drawing. I mentioned I like Bob Marley; I did a portrait of him with pastels. I am very relaxed and go with flow, I can be crazy and I love dancing. I didn't know I would end up writing this much for a blog I have never done this before so I hope it's not too much 😉 because this only scratched the surface.

 However I am much more interested in getting to know all of you. Words cannot describe how excited I am to go on this trip with you guys and grow spiritually with all of you. (I am in the purple stripe)
